ACTIVE CURTAIN WALL SYSTEMS

SUSTAINABLE.
ECOLOGICAL.
FLEXIBLE.

Active modular façade systems were developed in the 1980s with the aim of reducing energy consumption in the middle of the global petroleum crisis. Since then, the path taken in the development of this technology has been parallel to the price of energy and the reduction of CO2 emissions required by international organizations, until to achieve an optimum insulation values in order to meet these objectives.

Historical and current data indicate that energy savings of between 20 and 25 % are possible for the entire air conditioning system of the building. (Each case is examined individually).

Easy and cheap maintenance

Since then, our engineers have paid special attention to reduce the maintenance of these façades at a minimum, considering that maintenance as a passive façade with an internal motorized blind.

Although its thermal insulation values are much higher than those of a passive façade, it will require less investment in air conditioning equipment and consequently a drastic reduction in the overall maintenance value of the building. Closed cavity or double skin systems consist of double glazing on the exterior and laminated safety glass on the interior.

In this intermediate cavity it is possible to install opaque or micro-perforated blinds to reinforce the solar protection of the glass. These blinds have a motor that receives instructions from the building’s control center and the sensors installed strategically on the facades to act automatically when solar radiation conditions make it necessary.

The energy absorbed by these elements is collected by canalization to the building’s return system and then can be used for the building’s air conditioning.

These systems provide protection from solar and thermal radiation, keeping the building with natural light the most of the time, improving considerably the comfort of the users.

Curtain walls Active CW50+SG system / Active CW50+ SG One Glass Active Wall System have acoustic attenuation values much more superior to the other systems on the market, not for that having to make big financial investments in the purchasing of special glass.

Curtain walls Active CW50+SG system / Active CW50+ SG One Glass Active Wall System, have the RF Certification in its prefabricated panel.  This advantage represents a substantial economic saving if compared to traditional systems, in which the panel is installed by other specialized companies and consequently to coordinate and transport the materials to the site.

No limits in design

The profiles of the system respond to the international trend of minimizing the visibility of profiles and the use of thin angles in the design.

That is why the Active CW50+SG system / Active CW50+ SG One Glass Active Wall System offers, on the internal side of the building, continuous sheet of glass in the same plane as the visible profile of only 50 millimeters. All special design possibilities can be coordinated with our technical office.
